There was once pair of friends that were inseparable; their names were Andrew and Joshua. Over the years Andrew and Joshua got to know each other better, they spent more time together as well as went everywhere together. At school they had every class together, and they loved to talk to each other even if they got in trouble.
One day Andrew and Joshua were in band together preparing for their test which was the most important test of the semester. They were in class quizzing each other as most cool kids do. When Andrew drops one of the teacher’s personal clarinets they hurry to pick it up and hide it but they didn’t know where.
“What are we going to do Joshua?” said Andrew.
“I don’t know just hide it and the teacher won’t find it” he replied.
Andrew shoves the clarinet into one of the marimba tubes, and covers it with a piece of paper. After band they go home and do their math homework, Andrew gets picked up by his mother and leaves. The next day in band Joshua noticed that the clarinet was gone; at the end of class the teacher calls them over and asks them if anything had happened yesterday. Joshua replies to the teacher that they had accidently knocked over her instrument and that Andrew tried to hide it. The teachers tell them that neither of them are in trouble because they came clean, the boys were relieved.
As the year went on Andrew told Joshua about his crush, and that he planned on asking her out. The following day Andrew went up to his crush and ask her out, she immediately said yes. Joshua was very jealous though because he had a crush on her as well but could never ask her out. But Joshua did not want to be a bad friend so he didn’t tell him. The year was ending there was only three days of school when, Andrew broke up with his girlfriend. Although Joshua felt bad he was also kind of happy.
The year had just ended and Andrew and Joshua were planning on having a big party at Andrew’s house. They were all having a great time dance and talking with their guests, when they see flashing lights outside, the party was over. Joshua and Andrew go back inside the house their guests leave, when they notice that the entire house is a mess. They both knew that they had to clean up before Andrew’s parents get home. Joshua takes out all the trash out, while Andrew vacuums the entire house.
What they didn’t know was that was the last time that they would ever see each other.
A couple of weeks later Andrew was told that they were moving to a city up state. Andrew was devastated by the news, how will he give the news to Joshua he thought. The following day Andrew invite Joshua to his house to hang out, Andrew was planning on giving him the news then. Joshua arrived and they started talking when Andrew out of the blue blurts out the news. Joshua thinking he was just joking around starts to laugh. But when he noticed that Andrew was being serious he asks him “why?” Andrew replies that his father was being transferred to a different company.
A couple of days later Joshua goes to Andrew’s house to help him pack. At the end of the day Andrew was gone, Joshua was left alone with no other friends. Although they still text each other and hardly see each other they will never have a friendship like theirs again.
