The first couple days of winter break I was bored and decided to go on Netflix. Suddenly I found a show I liked “The Secret Circle.” I spent from morning to night for days just watching The Secret Circle. I ended up finishing it in a couple of days. Perfection would be the definition of this show.

The remaining days of that week I decided to continue watching Flashpoint on Netflix . Each season contained about twenty episodes. Every morning, once I woke up I would turn on the television and get straight into watching my favorite show. Before winter break finished I ended up completing the last episode!!!! In total I probably watched about sixty or more episodes of Flashpoint.

Over winter break I went to Florida. We went to Disney World in Orlando and to the beach in Miami. I stayed at a beach house for a whole week. The temperature over there was totally different from here. In Florida it was about seventy to eighty degrees, windy but not cold. Here it is way COLDER. My favorite part about Florida was the beach and Disney World. I can’t wait to go back some time, hopefully soon. J J

Emily, Anacelli, Michael and I went to Miami, Florida on a nice sunny day. We were going to go to the beach, the mall, American Airlines Arena, We flew out on a plane at around five in the morning. All four of us fell asleep since we woke up really early to pack our things.  Suddenly the plane started to spin and the flight attendant started to shout. We had no clue what was going on.

“Everyone stay calm!!!.” shouted the two flight attendants.

“What are you talking about?!?!” all four of said.

“Were going down!!!!” everyone started to scream.

Emily, Anacelli, Michael and I were all sitting in the back. Thankfully, we had a less chance of dying like that. Everyone unexpectedly stopped screaming and talking. We had finally landed….on an island. It was the Queen B Island. I could not believe that we had just landed on the most beautiful island ever!

Sadly, everyone else had perished. The only people that survived were I, Emily, Anacelli, Michael, and a random little kid. He saw his parents perish. He started to cry, I asked him what his name was and his name was Billy Bob. He wouldn’t stop crying so we had to calm him down some way. We got off the plane and started our adventure on the Queen B Island. Billy Bob ended up not crying anymore when he saw all the animals.

There were tons of palm trees, and my favorite tree, a coconut tree! I couldn’t reach the coconuts though, but I really wanted one. Billy Bob decided to run off because he saw a tiger. We weren’t going to risk our lives so there went another person. The tiger had eaten Billy Bob, then ate his head. We all stayed as best friend’s and lived happily ever after.

Background information:

Full name: Christian Ray Brown

Born: November 22nd, 1965

Height: 6’4

Location: Seattle, Washington

Christian Ray Brown is a former NBA player. He plays for the Seattle Supersonics . He was raised in Miami, Florida by his mom Sandra Brown. He was an only child and had no father. His father, TJ Mark had left Christian when Sandra was two months pregnant. Two years after, she was pregnant again. Unfortunately, Christian’s brother died in the womb.

How I love basketball. If someone told me that I would fall so deep for a simply sport, I would have said you’re a fool.

I remember like it was yesterday, I was sitting staring at my older cousin and his friends play basketball, when they asked me if I wanted to play. Don’t get me wrong I wasn’t very good but after that day all I wanted to do was play again and again.

The next morning and the morning after that, bright and early I would practice. My whole summer and the rest of my life was about basketball, I just didn’t know it yet.

The summer after freshman year I tried so hard to become better at passing, dribbling, shooting and everything in between.  I was ready to make the team at Jefferson High School.

I showed up to try outs day after day for two weeks. I was sure I was going to make the team but I guess destiny had other plans, I was cut. I couldn’t believe it. I still remember the words my mom told me when I told her, “Momma, I didn’t make the team.”

For about a month or two I refused to play or even talk about basketball. But then one morning my mom told me, “If they didn’t want you, show them what they lost.” I grabbed my basketball and played all day long. I would wake up every morning at five just to play basketball.  I played from sun up to sun down.

One day I was all alone at the basketball hoops outside of Jefferson High School when I heard a familiar voice calling my name. I turned around and saw that it was the varsity basketball coach, Fred.

“You’ve got skills son,” he remarked.

“But… you cut me from the team?” I replied with a sigh.

“I can see I made a mistake now. You’ve improved tremendously.”

Those words changed my life.  After that day I was not only on the varsity team, I was also a starter. I improved so much, I went from shooting guard to being able to play any position I was handed.

Four years had passed. I had an overwhelming amount of colleges wanting me to play basketball for them. I thought about it and I thought about it some more. At the end of the day I choose to go with my gut and attend the University of Louisville with a full ride scholarship.

I was scared to leave Momma behind but I had to do it for me.  And it was one of the best decisions of my life. When I was a sophomore in college I entered the NBA draft.

People were talking about me everywhere, on Sports Illustrator, NBA Talk, and ESPN.  Rumor had it that I was going to be the first pick in the draft.

The day of the draft I wore a black tuxedo and went to the draft with my Momma. I was so nervous I could feel my heart racing. I wanted the rumors to be true. Then they called my name, a great big smile went on my face. I was heading to Seattle to be a Supersonic. To this day I still play for them. It’s been the best two years of my life here in Seattle. Millions of fans screaming my name is all I ever asked for.

Once upon a time there was a panda named Poof Poofy. She LOVED her riding horse and took it everywhere with her. When she went to school she took it with her, including when she went to the store. No one had a clue why she took it with her. Everyone at her school made fun of her. She didn’t care though. Her motto was “Haters gonna hate” and she lived by it.
At recess while everyone would be playing tag or four square she would be riding her yellow horse. Poof Poofy didn’t let ANYONE ride her yellow plastic horse. There was a mean panda named Evily. She picked on Poof all the time and hated her because Evily didn’t have a horse. Evily was very jealous of Poof Poofy.

The following day Evily went up to Poof Poofy and took her horse from her.  Poof Poofy got angry and threw a rock at Evily. Evily was on the ground crying, bleeding, and screaming for a teacher. Poof Poofy ran as quick as she could and took her riding horse with her of course. An old lady recess teacher finally saw that the evil panda was bleeding and crying and asked what happened. Poof Poofy was nowhere in sight and never was convicted for her crime. Poof Poofy lived happily ever after with her yellow riding horse.

Racism is one of the world’s biggest problems in my opinion. Some schools are very strict with racism and do not allow it at all. Other schools are not as stern. Although the United States of America is one of the most tolerant countries it still has a lot of racism. A wise teacher once said “We’ve come a long way, but there is still a long way to go. Five percent is five percent too many.”  Wouldn’t you rather go to a school or somewhere and not be discriminated because of your race?

Although I don’t live in India or Jordan I would like the racism to stop over there as well. Were all humans and we should all have admiration for each other. An example of racism is “I hate you because you are____ “(the race they are.) You should put yourself in someone else’s shoes before you speak. Imagine if you were the one that was being told racial comments. Most likely, no one would like being discriminated because of their race. I at least sure would not.

In my opinion I think there should be no racism at all. I think there must be consequences for your actions, especially if you are going to discriminate someone because of their race. Luckily at the school I got to there is not a lot of racism. Although there are a variety of different races at Union Gap School, we all respect each other and our differences. There are many solutions to racism such as having more consequences for those that are racist to others, or if you see someone being racist to another tell them to stop. Racism should come to an end and you should help it come to a conclusion.

Dear Friends,

I know this is kind of late, but I just want to say that I dearly love
all of you. I’m remorseful for lying to you guys, I take it back. I didn’t go to
Chicago to visit my “family.” Last week I was diagnosed with Leukemia. They
transported me from the Memorial Hospital to Minnesota.  I
didn’t want you guys to see me like this. Stuck here in this hospice knowing
I’ll be gone in just a couple of days.

I personally didn’t know how to tell you guys. I thought about it for
days until I finally came to the conclusion that its better you guys don’t know.
On Thursday when Emily asked me why my hair kept falling out, I was left with no
answer. The treatment I had been taking was the answer to her question. In less
than four days I had already lost all my hair. After that I knew I’d be gone
soon....

Sitting in the Minnesota Hospital, room 203 was the hardest thing of my
life. I grabbed my phone multiple times and dialed all of your numbers. I would
lie on the hospital bed and stare at the red, torn down, ceiling. I came to the
decision that I’d rather just end all of this.  I’m sorry this is happening to you guys
right now, I know you guys wouldn’t want me to do this to myself, but it’s too
late. . . .

NOTICE: This letter is fictional and is meant to draw awareness
to teenage cancer.

There was once a group of boys that were a bunch of morons.
Adrian, Jonathan, Jaime, and somewhat Brandon. Their favorite thing to do was
play Xbox 360. Except, Brandon, he enjoyed playing football. Adrian, Jonathan,
and Jaime were all overweight boys. They hated running and exercising. All they
did all day was play Xbox 360, and eat junk food. While Brandon enjoyed being
outside and looking good for the girls.

One day they all decided to go to school for once and check out girls. Jaime went up to some girl
named Laurie and started flirting with her. “You have some nice hair girl” said
Jaime while winking at her afterwards. Laurie looked at him, and then slapped
him across the face. Adrian walked slowly up to Laurie’s sister, Jasmin. He
takes off her glasses, puts them on, and asks her, “Do these look good on me,”
with a very distracting smirk. Jasmine snatches her glasses from Adrian and
walks away quickly.“Ewwwww, no, you look horrible!” screamed Jasmin.

The following day, Brandon went up to Panchita. Unlike the rest
of the guys he actually wasn’t afraid to talk to girls. She was a chubby girl,
long brown hair, and blue eyes.
Brandon started walking towards her, but unexpectedly a boy named Sergio
went up to her before Brandon could. He got very flustered and didn’t know what
to do. He looked at Sergio then started to beat him up. Sergio was left with two
black eyes, a bunch of bruises, and a broken leg. This taught Sergio not to mess
with Brandon.

Later Jonathan went up to the prettiest girl at his school,
Peppita. Jonathan was a boy that fell in love at first sight. He was a wimp at
asking girls out though, but still considered himself handsome. He went up to
Peppita, very slowly. Jonathan was too scared to talk to her. “ Ummmmm….how is
your day” he asked her. She hated Jonathan because he was always a jerk to her.
Peppita then socked him in the face and ran off. Jonathan was knocked out on the
ground, crying. The rest of the guys went running up to him and asked him what
had happened. He could hardly remember anything. Afterwards he started
remembering what happened to him and told them. They started laughing and all of
the guys learned to not be jerks to girls and Brandon learned to take it easy
sometimes.

Patrick Star is SpongeBob Squarepants best friend, born on
February 27, 1978. He is a pink sea star, brainless, chubby, and can be funny at
times. Patrick lives beneath a rock on 120 Conch Street. He dearly loves ice
cream, chocolate, chewing on gum, and simply just junk food. Star is six inches
tall, has black eyes, purple eyelids, and red dots. He only has one sister
named, Sam Star. His parents are Herb Star (father) and his mother is Margie
Star.

Surprisingly, Patrick does have a criminal record. He was once
accused of stealing a balloon on free balloon day. Then, one time he told
SpongeBob that he stole his chocolate bar, even though Patrick ate his already.
Unlike SpongeBob, that isn’t such a great driver, Patrick is. He has worked at
multiple places, but hasn’t been so successful with jobs. Star has been a worker
at the Krusty Krab, Arrgh!, Big Pink Loser, and many others.

As you know, many characters have dreams to do something.
Patrick’s big dream is to defeat the Giant Monkey Men and save the ninth
dimension. He went to community college, doesn’t know how to use a pencil , and
when he thinks his brain releases smelling steam. Patrick’s favorite color is
aquamarine; he loves mermaids, HATES spiders.  His real name is actually Patrick Sea-
star. As I didn’t know, and possibly many others Gary and Patrick are
cousins.

Patrick Sea-star is my favorite character in SpongeBob
Squarepants. Although Patrick can be very dumb at times many kids would consider
him very funny, including me. The things he does in so many episodes are
hilarious! My history teacher, Mr. Kilgren reminds me of Patrick Star. They both
have some blonde moments and can be a fart head at times. In other words they
can be non- intelligent, but funny at the same time.
