Class of 2014 was at Union Gap School just moments of their big trip to Hawaii. Everyone was so excited to go since most of us have never gone. I was terrified to go on the plane but I still wanted to go. We each raised 200 dollars for this trip and we had to go.

Five minutes passed by and we were just about to leave when the weather just started getting bad. We had just cleaned up from the big party from last night.

Everyone boarded the plane that would be the best day of their life. The sky turned black with dark clouds and poured so much the rivers started to over flow. We stared to take off when the biggest boom of their life hit the sound barriers. All of us freaked and started get antsy to keep going. The plane was loud with obnoxious kids screaming and talking really loud.

By an hour later the weather was horrible it was a big storm full of every bad thing imaginable. Some kids even thought the plane got struck by lightning. The cloud was growing bigger and bigger shooting out lightning until the plane got struck.

The left wing was now on fire. We were hurtling towards earth like a meteor burning all the way down. Every person on the plane was in panic mode even the pilot. The mask then fell down and the pilot grabbed the parachute and was out of there.

About five seconds from the ground the flight attendant took control and tried to land the plane. She failed but at least she didn’t ditch like the pilot. Almost no one was hurt luckily but some got killed. I raced out of the plane like no tomorrow. Since we were on a small island we couldn’t tell where we were.

I was still in shock from the crash I didn’t know what was going on. From the plane was a big gaping hole where we buried all the dead ones. Since we didn’t know how long we would be there we gathered up supplies and made camp. When we woke up the storm was still going on and worse than ever. We ate our bananas and coconuts for breakfast.

Later that day a plane went by and picked up all the survivors which were very limited. We were so excited to get back home to union gap or Yakima. Once we got there and landed I went home to my family. I opened the door as I heard a small meow to notice it was my cat. The house was completely empty and the whole town was to. All I could wonder was what was going on…

All I could wonder was what was going on…

There was no one home I was scared. So then I tried calling my mom but it just went to voice mail. She said on the voice mail though these words: “sorry I missed your calls were running away from the earthquake bye”.

I froze in shock what earthquake and how could they leave me. I then got into the suburban after I grabbed the keys off my dad’s dresser and drove very fast to the airport. But when I got there I was too late. The airplane had just taken off and I was stuck in Yakima all by myself.

The wind started blowing and the clouds started forming and I knew it was time. I drove back to my house and tried to find somewhere to be safe. Then there was a big boom type thing just over the mountains.

Mt. Saint Helens was exploding and the mountain was on fire. I couldn’t believe I was about to die or live. The ground started to shake so I jumped in the tub and hid there.

I heard crashing and glass shattering all around me. I didn’t really realize I was in the middle of it all until it hit me. Our big cherry tree hit the side of the house and almost gave me a heart attack.  After five hours of siting or lying in a bath tub it stopped.

I pushed all the pieces of house of me and walked outside through an open hole where a door used to be. I stopped in shock to see fire and houses destroyed. And down the road was a big long slice where a yellow line used to be. To this day I remember the disaster I lived through as a young girl.

So once upon a time there was this woman who didn’t want her old hair due. So she then decided to go to the hair cutters and asked for a new due. The designer said she had the prefect design and couldn’t wait to try it. After about hour there she fell asleep and woke up with the craziest due she ever seen. But she loved it the lady called it statue of liberty. She paid the lady and couldn’t wait to show her husband the new her.

When she got home her husband wasn’t there he was still at work. So instead she found a couple of her friends to show it off. When she showed them they hated it but didn’t want to her feelings.  So then she went to bed and around 10 she woke to a sudden pound on the door. It was her husband staring blankly at her.  She asked “do you like it?”

He smiled with joy and in the morning he went to go get the same look. After that they became the strange couple on the block. But they loved being weird and especially their hair. Pretty soon the look became popular in there town. Everyone on the street had it. So they knew it was time for a new look and they knew just the person to go to.       

So I understand it’s almost time for Christmas but what do you do. Christmas is the holly jolly time of the year. For us it happens in winter. We play in the snow that is if there is some. Then we play snowball fights and build snow forts. It’s really fun but that’s not Christmas.

 We go to bed early even though it’s hard to sleep. Then in the morning we get up to go open the presents. We get to open some of them but not all. After that we get in the suburban to go to my grandmas and grandpas house. We say hi to everyone and eat ham and potatoes. We open are presents and play white elephant then we leave back home. Usually everyone calls and wishes us a merry Christmas. Everything changes after that.

Since were all tired from waking up early we go to bed to wake up to another fun day. We laugh and play in the winter snow where no one dare go. We then wait for news years for the ultimate time to party and sing for the next year. Are friends come from here and far to the dessert of Yakima? We sing and count down 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, and 0. We dance and skate at the rink. Until they day is over we have to rest to be the best.
