Dear Friends,
I know this is kind of late, but I just want to say that I dearly love all of you. I’m remorseful for lying to you guys, I take it back. I didn’t go to Chicago to visit my “family.” Last week I was diagnosed with Leukemia. They transported me from the Memorial Hospital to Minnesota. I didn’t want you guys to see me like this. Stuck here in this hospice knowing I’ll be gone in just a couple of days.
I personally didn’t know how to tell you guys. I thought about it for days until I finally came to the conclusion that its better you guys don’t know. On Thursday when Emily asked me why my hair kept falling out, I was left with no answer. The treatment I had been taking was the answer to her question. In less than four days I had already lost all my hair. After that I knew I’d be gone soon....
Sitting in the Minnesota Hospital, room 203 was the hardest thing of my life. I grabbed my phone multiple times and dialed all of your numbers. I would lie on the hospital bed and stare at the red, torn down, ceiling. I came to the decision that I’d rather just end all of this. I’m sorry this is happening to you guys right now, I know you guys wouldn’t want me to do this to myself, but it’s too late. . . .

There was once a group of boys that were a bunch of morons. Adrian, Jonathan, Jaime, and somewhat Brandon. Their favorite thing to do was play Xbox 360. Except, Brandon, he enjoyed playing football. Adrian, Jonathan, and Jaime were all overweight boys. They hated running and exercising. All they did all day was play Xbox 360, and eat junk food. While Brandon enjoyed being outside and looking good for the girls.
One day they all decided to go to school for once and check out girls. Jaime went up to some girl named Laurie and started flirting with her. “You have some nice hair girl” said Jaime while winking at her afterwards. Laurie looked at him, and then slapped him across the face. Adrian walked slowly up to Laurie’s sister, Jasmin. He takes off her glasses, puts them on, and asks her, “Do these look good on me,” with a very distracting smirk. Jasmine snatches her glasses from Adrian and walks away quickly.“Ewwwww, no, you look horrible!” screamed Jasmin. The following day, Brandon went up to Panchita. Unlike the rest of the guys he actually wasn’t afraid to talk to girls. She was a chubby girl, long brown hair, and blue eyes. Brandon started walking towards her, but unexpectedly a boy named Sergio went up to her before Brandon could. He got very flustered and didn’t know what to do. He looked at Sergio then started to beat him up. Sergio was left with two black eyes, a bunch of bruises, and a broken leg. This taught Sergio not to mess with Brandon.
Later Jonathan went up to the prettiest girl at his school, Peppita. Jonathan was a boy that fell in love at first sight. He was a wimp at asking girls out though, but still considered himself handsome. He went up to Peppita, very slowly. Jonathan was too scared to talk to her. “ Ummmmm….how is your day” he asked her. She hated Jonathan because he was always a jerk to her. Peppita then socked him in the face and ran off. Jonathan was knocked out on the ground, crying. The rest of the guys went running up to him and asked him what had happened. He could hardly remember anything. Afterwards he started remembering what happened to him and told them. They started laughing and all of the guys learned to not be jerks to girls and Brandon learned to take it easy sometimes.
Patrick Star is SpongeBob Squarepants best friend, born on February 27, 1978. He is a pink sea star, brainless, chubby, and can be funny at times. Patrick lives beneath a rock on 120 Conch Street. He dearly loves ice cream, chocolate, chewing on gum, and simply just junk food. Star is six inches tall, has black eyes, purple eyelids, and red dots. He only has one sister named, Sam Star. His parents are Herb Star (father) and his mother is Margie Star.
Surprisingly, Patrick does have a criminal record. He was once accused of stealing a balloon on free balloon day. Then, one time he told SpongeBob that he stole his chocolate bar, even though Patrick ate his already. Unlike SpongeBob, that isn’t such a great driver, Patrick is. He has worked at multiple places, but hasn’t been so successful with jobs. Star has been a worker at the Krusty Krab, Arrgh!, Big Pink Loser, and many others. As you know, many characters have dreams to do something. Patrick’s big dream is to defeat the Giant Monkey Men and save the ninth dimension. He went to community college, doesn’t know how to use a pencil , and when he thinks his brain releases smelling steam. Patrick’s favorite color is aquamarine; he loves mermaids, HATES spiders. His real name is actually Patrick Sea- star. As I didn’t know, and possibly many others Gary and Patrick are cousins.
Patrick Sea-star is my favorite character in SpongeBob Squarepants. Although Patrick can be very dumb at times many kids would consider him very funny, including me. The things he does in so many episodes are hilarious! My history teacher, Mr. Kilgren reminds me of Patrick Star. They both have some blonde moments and can be a fart head at times. In other words they can be non- intelligent, but funny at the same time.
In my opinion basketball isn’t just a game where you shoot a ball into a hoop, and try to score. To me, basketball is indescribable. You have to have a lot of dedication for the game, sportsmanship, teamwork, and hard work. Honestly, it is hard being a beginner, but one you start playing you don’t even want to stop.
I started playing basketball when I was in sixth grade, only two years ago. Now, I can hardly go a day without playing or holding a basketball. It’s like an addiction that you can’t stop. When I had barely started playing in AAU it was a lot of fun. We won some games, and lost some as well. Till this day I still can’t believe that most of my favorite memories happened on just a court, with one ball, and a basketball hoop.
Of course everyone loves to win, but it’s not always about the win. If you played hard and didn’t give up then you didn’t lose you won in your heart. The night before every game I played I would be so excited I wouldn’t be able to even sleep. I love the sound of squeaky shoes on the court, the crowd cheering and screaming, and especially the sound of the net when you “swish” it. All the support from friends, family, teachers, coaches, and everyone else is amazing!
I couldn’t thank my coaches in any way for all they’ve done to help me become a better basketball athlete. Although my brother isn’t my coach, he’s helped me a lot with basketball. If it weren’t for him I wouldn’t even be playing basketball right now. As you can tell basketball means a lot to me. The only secret to basketball is “No matter what, don’t ever give up.” To end this all, this is my life, my story, and basketball.
