| On my winter break, a man named James Avery died. The show I originally know him from is the popular TV show of the 90’s, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. He played Phillip Banks, Which he played the uncle of Will Smith. He was born on November 27, 1945-December 31, 2013. His death was tragic to many.  It was following open heart surgery, but sadly killed him.

Alfonso Ribeiro tweeted about it, quoting “I’m deeply saddened to say that James Avery has passed away. He was a second father to me. I will miss him greatly.” With a picture of him and his wife. I was so sad that he died; I just started watching The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. A source of Will Smith, said “James was a father figure to Will. He’s devastated by the death. James will be sorely missed.” Jada Pinkett Smith said in a Facebook post, “Rest in peace James,”

For me, he will be missed dearly, even though I didn’t know him. He was an excellent actor, and it is a very bad loss to this world. Along with Paul Walker, Cory Monteith, and other people that had died this year, he is in a better place.

My name is Angel Jessie Rocha. I was born on November 13th, 2000. I was born at 8:13 AM and I literally had no clue how much I weighed. I was told I was a cute baby, but I probably wasn’t. I was born into a family of 4, my sister Nycole, my Dad, John, and my Mum, Belinda. I was the quiet child, yet now I’m just LOUD. I was very close to my family, and never left them. I was hurt in the middle of my life (which is what I thought was middle-aged) at 5 years old. My mum and dad had gotten a divorce. When I entered Preschool, it was tough. I barely had friends, until I met a boy named Christian. I admit, I kind of had a crush on him. That’s embarrassing to say. I went through Preschool with a lot of friends coming and going. Me and my best friends, Elijah and Christian, always were troublemakers. I was really sad when Elijah left in 3rd grade. I was so sad. And me and Christian stayed in our school until 5th grade. I also left in 5th grade. I was truly sad to leave, but I went to a school called Roosevelt Elementary school. This is a good school, I also found some relatives there. I never thought I would meet such good friends, but until I moved to Montana with my Mum. I couldn’t stand it there, since everyone was mean to me because I was Mexican and British. So, I called my dad and told him, “Dad, I want to live with you.” My mum and dad had a long conversation about me going there, and I heard every single word. (I’m sorry, I might cry a little from writing this.)

Well, after I moved with my dad, things changed. I went to Union Gap School District and was scared out of my mind. I didn’t want to do the ‘polo’ thing, but, I learned it takes away a lot of bullying. I was in a class, with a teacher named Ms. Volland and Mr. Hawver. I was bad at math and everything, but quickly got better and better. I didn’t want to leave this school, it was really good. I told my dad I wanted to stay at this school until high school, and he said yes, unless we move. The school I want to go to is called Davis, and I love it. It has 87%  of students graduate. I have started looking into colleges; I want to major in CSI. I really want to be big in life, but I have to start small. I still haven’t seen my mum for almost 2 years now, and I promised her I would see her no matter how impossible it is. This was the story of my life; I still have the rest of my life to go.

Thanks for listening, I really hope you liked it.

5th Harmony is an American girl group, made out of 5 girls. Ally Brooke Hernandez, Normani Hamilton, Lauren Jauregui, Camila Cabello, and Dinah Jane Hansen. They went on the X-Factor as separate performances, and were put in a band by Simon Cowell. (Just like One Direction!) In the semi-finals of the show, they performed Ellie Goulding’s “Anything Can Happen.” L.A. Reid described their performance as “Quite magical”. Here is a little about the girls separately.

ALLY BROOKE HERNANDEZ

Allyson Brooke Hernandez (Shown is the middle) was born on July 7, 1993. Her audition song that she performed was “On my knees” by Jaci Velasquez, Then she received positive feedback from the judges. Ally says one of her biggest musical influences is Selena Quintanilla.

LAUREN JAUREGUI

Lauren Michelle Jauregui (Shown 1st on left) was born June 27, 1996, in Miami, Florida. Her audition song was “If I Ain’t Got you” by Alicia Keys. Her favorite artists include Journey, Paramore, The Script, and Christina Aguilera, as well as Alicia Keys.

CAMILA CABELLO

Karla Camila Cabello (Shown 2nd from right) was born on March 3rd, 1997 in Cojimar, Cuba. She prefers to be called by her middle name, Camila. I actually don’t know what song she sang for her audition, but I do know that she has an amazing voice. At boot camp Camila sang “Back to Black” by the late Amy Winehouse.

NORMANI HAMILTON

Normani Kordei Hamilton (Shown 2nd from left) was born May 31, 1996 in Atlanta. She spent her early years in New Orleans. Her family relocated after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Normani had been performing since she was 3, and was an award-winning dancer before recording her first single at the age of 13. On the X-Factor, she sang Chain of Fools by the legendary Aretha Franklin. Normani says her main musical and artistic influence.

DINAH JANE HANSEN

Dinah Jane Hansen was born June 22, 1997 in Santa Ana, California. Dinah is of the Tongan and Polynesian heritage. She auditioned singing “If I were a boy” by Beyoncé. L.A. Reid says, quoting, “took the song to places that even Beyoncé didn’t”. She cities Beyoncé, Leona Lewis, Mariah Carey, and Etta James as her musical influences.

I absolutely love music, music makes me. I would never live my life without it; I just need music to help me throughout tough times.

One of my favorite songs is ‘Counting Stars’ by Onerepublic. It empowers me, with nothing I’ve ever felt. I can’t actually remember the last time I haven’t listened to music, since I always sing in my head, or sing out loud. Another one of my favorite songs is Timber by Ke$ha and Pitbull. They are an excellent pair for a song, especially since they are both WILD. Another song is Wake me up by Avicii. He is an amazing DJ, and an even better guy! He recently won an American Music Award for Favorite EDM artist. Say Something by A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera. That song is just so inspiring, I just adore it! There are a million songs I love, and I would love to share them all with you. I will actually do a list of my favourite songs, at the end of my article!

So Writing and Singing music is my biggest passion, alongside Youtubing and Photography. I just love the sound of music while it pours into your soul, and lets you be yourself. If anything, I think you can express yourself through music. I can’t explain how much my style in music had expressed how I am. I’m a 13 year old girl in this gigantic world, and I still have a lot to learn, and slot of pain to go through and a lot of smiles to see. My smile, usually starts with music.

Thanks so much for listening; I hoped you enjoyed my article on music. Here is my twitter, and Youtube, and my list of favourite songs!
